  • What days and hours can I visit?

    Sunrise to sunset, every day of the year.

  • What are your office hours?

    Monday thru Friday 8:00am till 4:00 pm, excepting holidays.

  • What are your holidays?

    New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

  • How do I locate a grave?

    Call or visit the office for burial locations.

  • What are your hours and days for burials?

    Burials are scheduled between 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. Saturday burials incur an additional charge and are scheduled between 8:30am and 11:30am.  There are no Saturday afternoon burials and no Sunday burials. There are no burials on the holidays listed.

  • What can I plant at a gravesite?

    Rules vary according to section and type of property. Call the office for details.

  • What can I leave at a gravesite?

    There are prohibitions on certain items, based on safety, beauty, and maintenance.  Call or visit the office before placing any items.

  • Can I have a map of the cemetery?

    The map is available to download from the map section of the website.

  • I wish to do the tree tour, what do I need?

    The tree tour map is available to download, for a self-guided tour.  Anyone wishing to bring a group, should contact the office for information and scheduling.  We also have a once a year group tree tour that is announced in the local newspaper and on this website.

  • What types of burial do you provide for?

    We have many options available, including infant, cremation, and adult burial sites, as well as, entombment and inurnment for above ground placement. Contact the office for more detailed information or to schedule an appointment.

  • Do we need anything additional for a burial?

    A concrete vault is necessary for a casket, earth burial. This is purchased from your Funeral Director. Nothing additional for a cremation, earth burial.  The container provided by the crematory is sufficient. A tray is necessary for a casket entombment. This is purchased from your Funeral Director. Nothing additional for a cremation inurnment.  The container provided by the crematory is sufficient.

  • What kind of monument can I have?

    Only granite may be used for any monument or marker.  Rules vary according to section and type of property, regarding size and style. Call the office for details.

  • Do you have long term maintenance?

    New Jersey law provides that every cemetery must have a Maintenance and Preservation Fund, funded by the statutory deposit from each purchase, interment, and foundation. The future income from the M & P fund will enable Fairview to properly maintain the grounds.

  • Do you have restrooms available?

    There is a restroom located at the Northwest corner of the maintenance building, adjacent to the parking area, which is available during visitation hours and is also handicap accessible.

  • Do you have a room we can use for a service?

    Our gathering room is available for those family’s that wish to have a service prior to burial or a memorial service. The room will accommodate forty (40) with audio and video capabilities. Please call the office for scheduling, cost and details.

  • Why did my grave settle?

    Please be patient and understanding when this occurs. Ground disturbance will be repaired as soon as possible. Nature assists in making Fairview beautiful, but also causes difficulties and makes it necessary for us to give constant attention to the whole property.  We will be as prompt as possible to make all necessary repairs.
