Neil has served as a President of the Board since 2019, having joined the Board in 2011. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College in 1967. Following a tour of duty in the US Army from 1967 – 1969, Neil pursued a business career at Vanbro Corporation, a manufacturing and construction related firm located in Staten Island, NY. He became its Owner and President in the early 1990’s. As a business owner, he brings the necessary administrative skills and hands on management, and administrative experiences gleaned from running a mid-size company.
Jon joined the Board in 2015. He and his family have been residents of Westfield since 2001. They moved here from Florida for his job as a corporate pilot. Prior to joining his current employer, he spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a pilot. Jon has been very involved in the local community with several volunteer organizations. He spent over 10 years with the Westfield United Fund as a volunteer, board Trustee, and President. The WUF runs an annual fundraising campaign and distributes grants to local organizations assisting residents of Westfield and Union County. He also served one term as a board member of the Westfield Area YMCA. He is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Westfield and has served as a member of their Vestry and as a Warden. He currently volunteers in the Finance Office at the church.
Dave is a Certified Public Accountant with corporate leadership experience and management expertise. Since 2002 he became a Sole Proprietor of his practice "David M Roberts CPA". He is a member of the NJ Society of CPAs and also the AICPA. He graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BA in Business Administration as well as Master of Business Administration. He joined the Fairview Board of Trustees in 2008 and is a member of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where he serves as Treasurer. He is also a Board member of Lake Delaware Boys’ Camp, Inc.
Sandra began her career in commercial real estate lending at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, now known as JP Morgan Chase. In 1997 she joined her husband in the ownership and management of Antonelli Architects, a NYC architectural firm, specializing in large residential projects, where she is currently employed. She joined the Board in 2015, and as chair of the Publicity and Public Relations Committee, has proven to be creative, highly organized and goal oriented. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from the School of Public Administration in Urban Planning from New York University. She is a member of St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield and had previously served on the vestry, and currently is the Co-Chair of its recently formed Discernment Committee. She is an avid tennis player and resides in Westfield with her husband.
David joined the Board in 2024 and as an entrepreneur and business owner, brings leadership and management skills to the Finance, Audit, and Risk Management Committees. He has over 35 years of business experience with 17 years operating multiple small businesses in NJ and NC. He is currently the owner of Basile Insurance Associates, LLC. Prior to owning and operating his own business, he was employed at Pfizer Inc in a range of roles including audit, finance, and strategic planning. He and his family have been residents of Westfield since 1996. David has been involved as a coach for Westfield sports programs for over 10 years in all his children’s sports interests. He is an active community service leader, with his wife Eileen, through his local church.
Steve joined the Fairview Board in 1986 and serves as its Counsel. He is a graduate of Villanova University and received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of NJ and the US District for NJ. He is a member of the NJ Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association. He is a Founding Trustee and Co-Counsel for the Westfield Symphony Orchestra and has previously served on the Boards and Counsel for the Westfield Red Cross and the Westfield Historical Society. He was also a former member and Honoree of the Union County Emerald Society and a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from Visions of God Worship Service in Plainfield, NJ. He is currently a member of Echo Lake Country Club and resides in Summit.
Carl joined the Board in 2019 and brings his business and project management experience along with extensive operations and administrative expertise. He is currently the Chair of the Finance Committee, overseeing the management of the Cemetery’s investments. Carl attended Lafayette College where he received a BA in Economics and an MBA in finance from University of Virginia. He also served in the US Army as a 1st Lieutenant and platoon leader. He went on to have a career in Finance working for J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and more recently as the Chief Administrative Officer for American SurgiSite Centers and later for Omni Eye Service. He currently works at Better Vision New Jersey. He is a member of the First Congregational Church where he served as Chair of its Board of Trustees and is a member of Echo Lake Country Club, where he also served on the Board of Trustees
Christine is the newest member to the Board, having joined in January 2023. She brings over 30 years of experience at JP Morgan Chase, specializing in client relationship management, revenue generation, risk management and product development. She brings this skill set to the Board and to the Public Relations Committee. She graduated from Beloit College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Studio Arts. She is a former trustee of the Westfield Historical Society and is currently a member of the Plainfield Garden Club (PGC), part of the Garden Club of America. She has served the PGC as the head of the Garden History and Design Committee and is currently the co-chair of the Civic Committee for the Frederick Law Olmstead-designed Shakespeare Garden in Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield.
John is a retired insurance agent, having owned and operated Barrett & Parker Agency located in Westfield. He is a Westfield High School graduate, and a graduate of Pfeiffer University where he earned a BA in Business. He previously served as a board member of the Westfield YMCA. He joined the Fairview Board in 1990.
Barbara is a classically trained architect and has made a career providing architectural and planning services to state, local and regional clients through her firm Vincentsen Associates and, more recently, Vincentsen Blasi Architects. She has been involved with many local projects such as the renovation of the municipal building and the public library in Westfield, the construction of the Cranford Library and Community Center, the design and construction of the gazebo in Mindowaskin Park, the development of a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, the development of several multi-story office buildings, and multiple renovations of the multi-building campus of the Presbyterian Church in Westfield, to name a few. She has been involved in civic committees, having served on the Westfield Master Plan Review Board, the Mindowaskin Park Committee, the Westfield Historic Review Commission, the Westfield Service League and the Downtown Westfield Corporation Design Committee. For the last twelve years she has served as a national judge for America in Bloom. Barbara joined the Board in 1993 and was instrumental in completing many projects in her 29 years on the Board, including the design and construction of 3 mausoleums, the renovation of the existing office building and barn, and oversight of long-term development of the 105 acre property. Barbara graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in chemistry and New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture. She is a registered architect and professional planner.
Executive Director
Rick has been in the Cemetery Industry for over forty-five years. He has recently completed his 40th year of service as Executive Director at Fairview. He brings administrative and organizational skills to Fairview, while supervising the cemetery employees, both administrative and operational. Additionally, Rick employs multiple contractors and vendors who provide various services for the cemetery. Rick meets personally, and counsels’ families providing information for those seeking various interment options.
Rick reports directly to the Board of Trustees and has led Fairview through development phases, including ground expansion, mausolea and niche development. Rick is also the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. Rick has professional affiliations with the ICCFA and with the New Jersey Cemetery Association, where he has served as President and currently as a director, since 1995.
